If you’ve been wanting a Star Trek Limited Edition phone you are both in luck and out of luck.
The good news is the Meizu M3E has been released in a blue Star Trek edition.
The bad news is that it will be available only in China and it will be limited to 5,000 units.
It’s release on September 2nd was timed with the release of Star Trek 3 in China.
The retail box of this smartphone comes with Star Trek branding, and it looks like the Meizu also included some Star Trek software on the phone in form of wallpapers, custom boot screen, themes and some other design details. The device is going to be available for the equivalent of $225, and for those who live in China you can purchase it through the company’s online store (Meizu Mall).
The Meizu M3e Star Trek Edition features a 5.5-inch fullHD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. It is equipped with a Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, and the Mali-T860 MP2 GPU is also a part of this package. The 3,100mAh battery is not removable and is included on the inside. The device’s mBack physical home button doubles as a capacitive back key and the fingerprint scanner. With a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, this device promises to be a good experience to those interested in photography. This is also a dual-SIM handset, and the phone also supports 4G LTE connectivity
