The Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball: An Evening of Fantastical Beauty

The Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball is one of the highlights of the social season in Los Angeles, CA.   And it’s not hard to see why!  Every costume was the most amazing I had ever seen.  With 2,500 attendees on Saturday night that’s a lot of jaw dropping admiration for the costumers and artists.  Every single one was dressed in their best and dressed to impress.

Where else can you meet a woman in a Rococo gown talking to a woman dressed like the Queen of the Monarch Butterflies?  Turn around and you run into a man dressed like Elron and a whole court of elves, only to come face to face with The Goblin King himself, in an upgraded, LED lit, beaded Evening coat, escorting Cinderella to the dance floor?

Sypher Studios has created a truly immersive, magical experience.  Everything from the location to the music and performers is planned out months in advance and is unique to the Masquerade. (This year perhaps being the exception when 3 months before the ball they had to scramble to find a new location) They are very protective of their guests to make sure nothing can break that spell, even if the steampunk cat is taking a selfie with the most garish and delightful female clown on the face of the planet.

The Masquerade is definitely something that pictures or videos can not convey.  It has to be experienced.
