Saturday night saw a gathering of men, women, and children from all over the country who take their beards and moustaches seriously. The event was the LA Facial Hair Society’s third annual Beard & Moustache Competition and the place was the Avalon Hotel in Hollywood.
There were many 1st time competitors and 3 world champions on site. There were groomed beards, natural beards, kids with beards (crafted), Whiskerinas, Freestyle beards in all kinds of shapes from stars to curls and moustaches galore. Vendors were on hand selling everything you would need to keep your beard and moustaches neat and tidy (or a bit wild if you prefer it that way!) from beard styling to beard and moustache oil and specialty combs. The whole competition was full of goodnatured bravado, big personalities and quite a bit of showmanship!
