Yoda, Princess Leia and Darth Vader Tell Star Wars from Their Perspective in New Books

What do we want? More Star Wars! When do we want it NOW!

But it looks like we will have to wait until at least September. That’s when the new line of Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys are due on the shelves and now from StarWars.com we also find that we are being treated to a re-imaginging, or perhaps, a re-telling, of the original trilogy through the eyes of three of its main characters.

Star Wars: A New Hope — The Princess, The Scoundrel, and The Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken (the Darkest Minds series) will be told by Princess Leia, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back — So You Want to Be a Jedi by Adam Gidwitz (A Tale Dark & Grimm series) will have Yoda as the main narrator , and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi — Beware the Power of the Dark Side! by Tom Angleberger (the Origami Yoda series) will reveal what is going on behind the mask of everyone’s favorite villain, Darth Vader.

These are more than just mere retellings from this top talent; these are fresh interpretations — true to the films but filtered through each author’s vision. In each novel, the authors get inside the characters’ heads, tell us about the scenes between the scenes, and even teach us how to be a Jedi.

The books will make their debut on September 22, 2015 and are already for Preorder on Amazon.com with the preorder price set just over $13 for hardback editions and $9.99 for Kindle.
