As the trident wielding Finnick Odair of District 4 Sam Claflin has fought through poisonous fogs, murderous monkeys and in Mockingjay Part 2 he helps Katniss take on President Snow himself.  Earlier this week it was suspected that he was being considered for, or had possibly even already secured a part, as one of the color coded morphin heroes in the upcoming reboot of The Power Rangers.

While the tweet was deleted, the sharp eyes of Comicbook.com caught it and saved it.

But a representative for the actor has denied that he has any part in the new movie.  Which is kind of disappointing as he seems like he would be a perfect fit for it.

No casting has presently been announced.

The Power Rangers Movie is in pre-production and its release date has been bumped from 2016 to early 2017.
