Jerry Doyle, an actor who got his start on Moonlighting, but is perhaps best known for his role as Chief Security Officer Garibaldi on Babylon 5, died Wednesday at the age of 60.

While not a prolific actor, he was a very popular talk show radio host who showed that he and his former character were not so far apart.  He enjoyed whimsy and satire and had a sharp wit.  Much like Mr. Garibaldi.

“I never realized that growing up in Brooklyn, flying jets, working on Wall Street and starring in a sci-fi series was the prerequisite for the fast-paced demands of talk radio,” says Jerry Doyle. “But, if that’s what it takes to succeed, I’m glad I did it all.”
