It’s been almost 10 years since the end of the original Card Captor series. While time may have rushed by for us, in Tomoeda it seems to have been at a standstill. Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Edition picks up right where we left our heroes, with Sakura about to enter Junior High with her friends. But fate is up to its old tricks and has something other than a peaceful school year in store for her. A prophetic dream? A mysterious cloaked figure? All the Sakura Cards becoming clear? A new quest to capture the transparent cards using a new an much stronger mystical key awaits!
The new series will begin on January 7th, 2018 in Japan and it will be simulcast on Crunchyroll.
