Sony and Paramount Skip San Diego Comic Con

Are we missing something?  Well, yes, apparently, according to Variety, if you’re going to San Diego Comic Con this year.   Marvel, Sony and Paramount to be precise.

The studios say “It wasn’t a knock against Comic-Con.  The film cycles just didn’t allow it.”

Facing the competition of “Star Wars”, “The Hunger Games”, “Fantastic Four” and DC Entertainment’s entire lineup of movies, it seems that Sony and Paramount felt they just didn’t have enough geeky movies to promote at the Mecca of Conventions.

Marvel announced that they were bowing out of SDCC earlier this month in a shocking move that has many speculating that they will use Disney’s D23 to make all of their big announcements at.
