I don’t know where you will be Feb 12-15, 2016, but if you’re a fan of Comic Books, or even just DEADPOOL(!), I know where you might want to be.
Amazing Arizona Comic Con is taking place at the Phoenix Convention Center this February and the Special Guests they have already announced reads like a who’s who of who you might just want to run into at a Comic Convention (I know I’D want to run into them!).
Chris Claremont was just about my hero when it came to comics when I was a kid. He had a hand in creating such amazing and well-loved (or hated in some cases) characters such as Phoenix, Psylocke, Rogue, Gambit, Mystique, Jubilee, Sabertooth, Kitty Pryde, Moira MacTaggert, and the White Queen. He penned the first solo adventures of Wolverine during his 17 year run (1975–1991) writing for The Uncanny X-Men, as well as a kind of well known story called The Dark Phoenix Saga. His works are also the basis for each of the X-Men movies from FOX including this summer’s blockbuster Age of Apocalypse.
If human mutants aren’t your thing than maybe you’re looking for one of the sensei of those “Heroes in a half-shell” that you know you just sang the theme song to. Kevin Eastman is the co-creator of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and he’s going to be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans (Feb 13/14). Look for special comics, guests and more from #TeamEastman at the Amazing Arizona Comic Con.
If that’s not enough – and I don’t think they are even done announcing their guests yet!! – perhaps you’ve heard of someone called Deadpool. If you have it’s because of Marvel Mutant Guru Rob Liefeld! Aside from that little known Marvel movie that’s coming out on Feb 12th (more on that in a minute!), he is also writing and drawing a new Original Graphic Novel for Marvel titled, DEADPOOL BAD BLOOD.
Now onto that “more on that” part – Rob Liefeld will be making a special appearance at Amazing Arizona Comic Con on Friday, February 12, and a morning session on Saturday, February 13. He will be hosting a Friday Night screening, (details on the Ultimate Deadpool Fan Experience Coming Soon).
As part of their Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld’s opening weekend event, Amazing Comic Conventions is releasing a new SPIDER-MAN DEADPOOL Variant, on sale first to the fans in Phoenix.
