While announcing the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Sean Bailey officially confirmed that Orlando Bloom will be returning as Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
“There’s another character in this tale and in this franchise that we think the audience particularly loves seeing Jack interact with. A character we haven’t seen in a little while. We’ve asked him to come back and for D23 I want to officially announce that Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom will return.”
The film stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow , Geoffrey Rush as Jack Sparrow’s favorite frenemy, Captain Barbosa, Javier Bardem as the unearthly Captain Salazar, Kaya Scodelario as brilliant scientist Carina Smyth, and Brenton Thwaites as the young Henry. Henry and Carina are seeking a treasure that has the power to unlock an eternal curse.
“Dead Men Tell No Tales” will be released on July 7, 2017
